The switch to IPv6 is gaining momentum ahead of 6 June 2012, or what's being billed as World IPv6 Launch. On this day high-profile internet service providers, networking equipment manufacturers and web companies will come together to permanently enable IPv6 for their products and services. With IPv4 addresses almost at exhaustion point, the transition to IPv6 with its nearly limitless addressing is a critical factor to the ongoing growth of cloud services.
